Photo stack: Juoru rides Vissy - now better

No, actually I just mean the tack is better. But I also hope the photos are too. Let the professional modellers laugh, though...

I don't know what puts me to put Vissy to wear that bridle. It has no quality, really, but it fits that horse. Vissy dives well to practically every bridle I make, meaning if they are made for sporthorses, and this one isn't the best possible - not for use and not for photos. And still he wears it. Yet worse than Juoru, my oldest homemade doll, is the rider. He's difficult to position and he looks clearly just and only stupid. I'm not good at liking my outdated works.

But these photos are good enough for my taste. And that tack is in it's best step now, believe it or not.

I decided to edit this very freely and heavily, because the original photo was so bad in quality. Added a lot of contrast and sharpening, and lowered the colors more.

Settings: 'portrait', with lowered colors.

Settings: 'colorful', colors and contrast as strong as possible.

Do you scream if I get yet more photos of Juoru riding Vissy? I could do, inside my brains. But hey I could at least change a different background and try new things, or what? Nevermind...

Photo stack: Dippi and Namu 1 - lunging

Things are well when you want to include dolls and a 'story situation' to your pics after finishing a tack set. Dippi lunging Namu (Breyer trad. GG Valentine)! The tack isn't best ever, partly because the leather was bad and partly because of my mistakes. But this is a lot better compared to the previous set(s), what I made just to help myself to do better and to write some important points up.

I don't know, am I only one collector who wanted to decide that model to be a standardbred, that's a former racetrotter now having a steed career? That kind of standardbreds are very common in Finland, so I wanted one example to my model herd too. Luckily that breed has no actual standards for what a horse should be built like, they're all unique and different, so I don't stare too much the anatomy.

Photo stack: Dippi and Symppy 1

I feel Dippi is the owner of Symppy (Breyer trad. hackney), but I can't be sure. What does she do with her? She doesn't need a pony... Her kid has a thoroughbred, that is their horse, they have enough work to do with him. But for some reason I see Dippi as the official(?) owner for that hackney mare.

Looks like the pony is easy in behavior since she can be safely held with long rope and without real stable clothes. The real answer is: I can't make doll clothes. I've told this so many times now, that I feel almost stupid, but I want to make it clear that anyone can't think I could think it's OK to wear everything possible when being at stable. Yet needed to learn how to make gloves and boots - and maybe helmets - for my dolls...

Photo stack/story: Rämä and Windy 1

I didn't know where to categorize this. It's not a real story, but includes also more than just generally photos of the set from every angle.

Rämä the rat boy with Windy (Breyer trad. Babyflo). Some pics show also Cerys the green rat lady, being angry because Rämä almost rode over her.

The tack used with this is less good. Or, it's the materials I used, made it quickly just because I can make bridles. I use materials what I have... That bit is weak and dark because I lack(ed) better, stronger wire what I should use for them. Nocando. Martingal doesn't fit, blergh. No word about the pad that's used as a saddle. I tried to put the bit to look like it's pulled by the rider; it's important to me that the bit is placed and positioned well, I see too much uncaringly placed model horse bits. Really! Also played some moment to keep the scarf to stay in position, so it could look like... well, waving?

That bit annoys me.

Then comes the part where is also Cerys, and Rämä almost rides over her. She's angry, and doesn't care if a horse is running against her. Maybe she tries to catch the reins to end the circus?

I can't resist uploading a pic I took while un-building the stack. Humor.

Blogger doesn't like that I upload so much pics at same time... But what else could I do?
